about Nha Trang Bay
The bay of NhaTrangis locatedin the province of Khan Hoa, the southern maritime area of Central Vietnam. NhaTrang city is the political, economic and cultural centre of this province; it’sbuilt on the estuary of the CaiRiver and is surrounded by 4mountains (“Long Son” = dragon, “SinhTrung”= elephant, “TraiThuy = turtle and “Hoa Son” = bat).
With a surface area of 507 km², the bay extends between Cay Cape (north) and Dong Ba Cape (south); the coastline (103 km) includes two distinct parts – continental and islander – thus contributing to a great biodiversity but also to the development of maritime activities: tourism, aquaculture and product processing and transportation.
La baie de NhaTrang est située dans la province de Khan Hoa, la zone maritime méridionale du centre du Vietnam. La ville de NhaTrang est le centre politique, économique et culturel de cette province. Elle est bâtie le long de l’estuaire de la rivière Cai et est entourée de 4 montagnes (« Long Son » = dragon, « Sinh Trung » = éléphant, « TraiThuy » = tortue, « Hoa Son » = chauve-souris).
Avec une superficie de 507 km², la baie s’étend entre Cay Cape (nord) et Dong Ba Cape (sud). Le littoral (103 km) comprend deux parties distinctes, continentale et insulaire, contribuant ainsi à une grande biodiversité, mais aussi au développement d’activités maritimes : le tourisme, l’aquaculture et le traitement et le transport des produits.
